Christmas cards exchange Proiect eTwinning

 
School partnerships are a great way to bring international education to life for young learners, and the benefits of doing joint projects with international schools are wide-reaching. For students, partnerships can help develop their core skills and an appreciation for cultural diversity; and for teachers, international collaboration is a useful way of growing professionally and sharing knowledge and teaching best practice with an international audience.

The project will be a starting point for the international cooperation. “Christmas cards exchange” project will be a way to introduce to each other and send first information. In the project there will be 7 partners: Portugal, Spain, Poland, Italy, Romania, Turkey and United Kingdom  . Each partner needs to prepare Christmas cards to partners. The children preparing cards will be aged 10- 12 years old.


Aims

The aim of the project is to celebrate Christmas, to find out more about other countries traditions, to show that English in really the international language needed to be able to communicate with other people all around the world and to increase the kid’s motivation level and show that learning new things is a great pleasure.

Work process

1st: Introduction of the partners (country, city, school, kids)
2nd: Preparation – Christmas drawings, crafts made by kids – taking pictures during project and making a presentation. Sending them to partners.
3rd: Christmas greetings in English and New year wishes. Pictures of Christmas cards handmade by kids.
4rd: Sending Christmas cards to our partners






After days of work, our Christmas cards are ready. They "went on a journey" to our European friends!





In December, postcards have arrived !! From Spain and Italy. The students were very excited! Thank you for your dear dear friends, from Spain and Italy !!! The postcards were very beautiful!
